“Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and while his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” - John 12:3
What a beautiful picture of Mary’s posture toward Jesus — of utmost humility, bowed down, wiping His feet with her hair.
Despite criticism from others, she was convinced to her core that Jesus was worth it.
Brothers and sisters, the same call is true for us today. What does it look like to pour out our perfume on Jesus’ feet.
He isn’t after our most put-together selves, but our most genuine, raw, and imperfect hearts and all our affections.
