Grace isn’t opposed to effort, but it is opposed to “earning.” By keeping the commands of God, we do not try to earn salvation nor the blessings, but we do it as an act of gratitude and a form of worship to God. It is how we worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and how the blessings of Deuteronomy 28 fall on us.
