The Good Portion

“Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” - Luke 10:41-42

During the end of semester, it can be easy to take Martha’s mindset. Jesus provides us with a source of rest in the midst of our business and exhaustion. His deepest desire is to know us and for us to know Him. I would offer a suggestion - next time you are feeling overwhelmed or burdened by the business of life, turn to the Prince of Peace. He is the truest source of rest. As the semester winds down, take some time to try out Mary’s mindset - just be with Him.”
